VinziRast am Land

VinziRast am Land will open in 2022. Not far from Vienna,  there used to be a hotel. The area around the building offers enough space to provide permanent living and working space for about 60 formerly homeless people in the future. Vision is simple: living together in the community while doing a meaningful work.

The property offers generous cultivation areas for fruit and vegetables, meadows and woods, common rooms, small living units, work, seminar and guest rooms. The future residents can get involved in VinziRast am Land.

The plants are sown, allowed to grow and are finally harvested. Witnessing how plants grow and flourish strengthens self-esteem. Staff and volunteers accompany this process. This project is designed to be self-supporting through the sale of food such as eggs as well as vegetable boxes, caterings, room and room rentals. Furthermore, many other offers are planned.

VinziRast am Land is also happy to receive entertainment games of all kinds to provide entertainment for the guests working with them. E.g. Wuzzler, table tennis, billiards, badminton, and much more.

Volunteer days @ VinziRast am Land

In the coming months there will be the opportunity to volunteer to help with the construction of the farm. Everyone who would like to join is welcome.

A lot has been completed so far. But there are still some things missing. The construction of the chicken coop for 200 chickens – with a photovoltaic system on the roof – and the construction of the greenhouse are underway. In May, the renovation of the façade was started and the rainwater management system is being implemented.

If you would like to get involved, you have the opportunity to do so on the following dates:

3-4 September 2021Please note that the number of participants is limited.

Companies who would like to arrange their own volunteer day at the VinziRast am Land are very welcome.
